a photo story of plum preserves
I snuck into the kitchen tonight to watch the fascinating process of preserve-making. Yanet made delicious plum preserves and she made it look way too easy. She let me stir for a few minutes and my arms were aching. Its all well-worth the hard work though. Thank goodness there was a little bit left over that wouldn't fit in a jar because I hung around long enough to get offered a taste. Everyone in the kitchen had some fresh plum preserves on crepas.
We sell all of our preserves in our marketplace in the front of the cafe. Pati is constantly coming up with new preserve recipes and we have different flavors based on what fruit is in season and what we have growing in our mini farms. [click on the 1st photo to open a slideshow]
